Release 173 improves video quality in Telehealth with a new Prioritize Sharpness setting, and adds the ability to create insurance encounters without requiring an appointment.

Release Highlights

Telehealth Video Improvements: Prioritize Sharpness

Telehealth video quality has been improved with a new setting called Prioritize Sharpness. When enabled, the system favors resolution over frame rate when the connection is limited. This can cause a drop in frame rate to keep the image sharp, though motion may look choppier as a result. When disabled, the browser can lower resolution instead to keep motion smoother.

Create OpenPM Insurance Encounter Without An Appointment

Insurance encounters can now be created directly from Practice > Billing > Encounters instead of right-clicking an appointment. This is helpful for situations like hospital on-call visits or appointments that require multiple claims.
