v166 - June 4, 2026 Update

Release 166 includes several new features and usability improvements, with a primary focus on reporting. This release includes three new reports: Gift Cards, Unearned Funds by Dates, and Insurance Encounter List. Existing reports have also been updated, including a new Appointment by Date Range filter on the Patient Export and a keyword search on the Implants Used report.

Release Highlights

New Report: Gift Cards

The Gift Cards report lists all transactions involving gift cards during a specified time frame including gift card purchases, reloads, and redemptions. Transactions that are partially paid by gift card will be indicated. This report can be run for all gift card transactions, or only for gift cards that currently have a balance.

The Gift Cards report is located in the Financial section of Reports.

New Report: Unearned Funds by Dates

A new Unearned Funds by Dates report has been added to practice reporting. This report displays gross unearned deposits received within a selected date range and can be filtered by payment date or procedure date. Users may also filter by provider and toggle the visibility of patient ID and name columns. The report includes payments made toward the following:

Unspecified prepayment
Gift card
Package prepayment
Quote

The Unearned Funds by Dates report is located in the Financial section of Reports.

New Report: Insurance Encounters List

A new Insurance Encounter List report displays encounters for patients flagged as billing patients and includes a filter for OpenPM sync status. The report includes the date of encounter, patient name, patient ID, provider, CPT codes, primary insurance company, and OpenPM sync status.

The Insurance Encounter List report is located in the Insurance section of Reports.

Patient Export: Appointment by Date Range Filter

The Appointment Type filter on the Patient Export practice report has been updated to an Appointment by Date Range filter. This update replaces the previous single-select option with a more flexible filter that allows users to combine up to three optional filters: appointment types, a date range, appointment statuses.

Each matching patient will appear as a single row in the report regardless of how many matching appointments they have. The updated status list now includes Cancelled and No Show, giving marketing users the ability to target patients who did not complete their appointment.

The Patient Export report is located in the Marketing section of reports.

Report Update: Implants Used Keyword Search

The Implants Used Report has been updated to include a keyword search. The keyword search can be used to search the implant log for serial numbers, products, or other information entered into an implant log entry.

Implants used in surgery can be logged by going to Patients > Logs > Implants. The information can be typed or automatically pulled from manufacturing data by scanning the barcode if accessing 4D EMR on a smartphone or tablet.

The Implants Used report is located in the Inventory section of Reports.
