Alert For Practices Based in Texas: S.B. 1188 (Effective Jan 1, 2026) prohibits storing EHRs outside the U.S. or its territories, with offshore access still allowed if safeguards are in place. 4D EMR complies with this law by storing all data with Microsoft Cloud Storage (Azure) and all office and patient data is physically stored at locations in the continental United States.

Release 154, the first release of 2026, includes requested improvements to the PreOp Checklist including filters and a larger window. It is also now possible to create commissions on product sales or services for a percentage with a decimal.

Preop Checklist Improvements

The Preop Checklist, accessible from the Schedule, has been updated to include patient, provider, and date filters. The window is also slightly larger, allowing more listings to display at a time.
