Help Center4D EMR Subscriptions include SMS based texting service. This service is configured and authorized for use within the 4D EMR application for:
- Two-way texting
- Automated text appointment reminders
- Limited voice-over-ip telephone calls (not a phone system replacement)
4D EMR texting service is not configured nor approved for text marketing or mass/bulk message texting. Existing numbers used by practices cannot be ported to 4D EMR for texting service and it may not be possible to acquire phone numbers with high-demand area codes.
4D EMR will request a standard 10-digit phone number to be used for "Application-to-Person" communications.
Configuring the texting service for your 4D EMR account requires that 4D submit business information about your practice for verification by our text service provider.
As part of this verification process, the texting service provider will verify:
- Practice Federal Employer Identification Number (EIN)
- Legal business name
- Business address and phone
- Business website
