Help Center4D EMR provides two options for processing insurance claims:
- Direct clearing house integration with OpenPM billing and claims management system.
- Simple coding with encounter form generation suitable for providing information to be entered into standalone billing/claims processing systems.
4D EMR does not provide generic EDI file claim creation or processing.
OpenPM Blling and Claims Management
Utilizing the 4D EMR-OpenPM integration allows practices to take advantage of OpenPM’s built-in Clearinghouse, AR Management, and advanced analytics to manage insurance billing.
OpenPM staff provides setup, system training and ongoing support for their platform and claims management. 4D EMR staff provides support for the 4D transaction elements.

Fees:
4D EMR does not charge for billing integration with OpenPM. OpenPM fees are listed below and are subject to change without notice.
- OpenPM charges $495 for initial setup and system training
- Monthly fees range from $100-$150 per month depending on service level and claims volume.
Implementation
OpenPM and 4D EMR manage different elements of implementing the
- Coordinate a demo with OpenPM. Contact 4D EMR Sales or Onboarding/Support team to schedule a demo.
- Execute OpenPM service agreement and schedule configuration and training directly with OpenPM staff.
- Configure 4D EMR integration settings with 4D EMR onboarding staff.
Encounter Form Generation
Practices requiring submission of claims through a non-integrated clearinghouse and/or through an outside biller may generate simple encounter forms listing the necessary data required to create a claim.
