InstAnnounce Group Chats

A "Hot Update" was released on 1/30/2026 to include group chats in 4D EMR Instannounce. 

Configuring InstAnnounce Groups

1. Add "Manage Group Chats" permission to any non-superuser who needs to be able to create or update chat groups
   1. Update user permissions by going to Practice >> Admin >> Doctors and Staff >> Golden Key icon when hovering over the user
      
2.  Create and Manage InstAnnounce groups: Navigating to Practice >> Admin >> Instannounce Groups
   • Click +New to create a new group and assign users

 
               
 
Sending a Message to the InstAnnounce Group

1. In the Instannounce window, select the "Groups" toggle button and select the desired group from the dropdown
    
   
2. Only members of a group will have access to send a message to the group.  All members of the group chat will receive a notification of the new message. Any replies to the group message will be visible to all members of the group.
