Help CenterMigrating data is a complex and resource-intensive process that must be managed by skilled technical professionals. While it is common industry practice to charge additional fees for data migration services, 4D EMR includes migration from a single data source at no extra cost as part of your subscription.
Included with Your 4D EMR Subscription
- Data migration from one data source/EMR is included during the onboarding process.
- The following data elements can be imported, provided they are in a machine-readable format:
- Patient demographics
- Appointment records
- Scans, images, and PDF documents
- Other data that may be importable but may be subject to additional charges:
- Notes or records not converted to PDF by your legacy practice management software provider.
- Alerts, communication logs, or other non-standard "list" type data (subject to data analysis)
- Financial data and transactional history cannot be imported.
Addtional Data Sources
- Importing data from additional sources is available at a rate of $125/hour, with a minimum charge of $250.
- In some cases, importing images from Canfield Mirror or TouchMD systems may be performed at no additional cost. Please review with 4D EMR Onboarding staff for specific details and limitations.
Practice Responsibilities
- Practices are responsible for requesting data backups or extractions directly from their legacy software provider.
- 4D EMR staff cannot make data extraction or cancellation requests on behalf of the practice.
Post-Migration Recommendations
- We strongly recommend maintaining access to your legacy practice management system for 1 to 3 months following your go-live date with 4D EMR to ensure continuity and data validation.
