Help CenterAppointment Color Key
The color bar on the left side of appointments indicates the appointment status. The colors used for each status are built-in 4D and cannot be changed.
Some appointments will have red or grey striping indicating chart note status. Chart note status striping will be displayed on top of the appointment note status.
Red striping will indicate that the chart note has not been started. This is an example of a checked-out appointment that does not have a chart note associated with it.
Grey striping indicates that a chart note has been started but not finalized. This is an example of a checked-out appointment that has a chart note waiting for provider co-signature. 
Striping throughout the body of an appointment indicates that this patient has sent your office an unread text message.
