4D PAY - Stax Pay Portal Introduction

The Stax Pay Portal is an all‑in‑one online payment management platform that allows businesses to process payments, manage transactions, generate invoices, review analytics, and administer their merchant account. It serves as the main dashboard for merchants to run and control their payment operations.

Please make sure you are using the browser Google Chrome anytime you are on the Stax Pay website as some features do not work properly on other browsers

 

Transactions processed through 4D Pay Powered by Stax will be visible within the Stax Pay Portal.

Below is a summary of the key functions and how practices access and manage the portal.

Transaction Reporting & Analytics

The Stax Pay Portal provides detailed reporting tools that allow practices to review:

  • Daily settlement batches
  • Payment history
  • Transaction statuses
  • Fees and processing costs

These reporting features are essential for reconciliation, financial tracking, and end‑of‑day or month‑end reviews.

Account Management & Administrative Tools

Within the portal, authorized users can manage:

  • User access (adding or removing users)
  • Terminal configuration and status
  • Account settings
  • Overall payment and settlement administration

Accessing the Stax Pay Portal from 4D EMR

Authorized users can access the Stax Pay Portal directly from 4D EMR, provided the email address used in the Stax Pay Portal matches the email linked to the user's 4D EMR account.

To access the portal from within 4D EMR:

Navigate to:
Practice → Settings → Money → Open 4D Pay

User Access Requirements

The Stax Pay Portal is initially provisioned so that only the authorized signer on the Stax merchant agreement has access.

If the authorized signer’s Stax Pay email does not match their 4D EMR login email, the best practice is to add that user again in Stax using the same email address they use in 4D EMR.  This ensures seamless single‑sign‑on access from 4D.

If additional Stax Pay Portal users are required, the main practice Stax administrator should add new users using their 4D EMR login email address

Steps to Add a New User

  1. Log into the Stax Pay Portal.

  1. Open the main menu
    Click the three-line “hamburger” icon at the top left of the application.

  2. Navigate to Team Settings
    Select Settings → Team Settings.

  3. Add the new team member
    Complete the setup form, including:

    • Name
    • Email address
    • Password (required only for direct portal login)

Important Notes

  • Email must match the 4D EMR login email
    For the user to access the Stax Pay Portal directly from within 4D EMR, the email entered in Stax must be identical to the user’s 4D EMR login email.

  • Passwords are not required when accessing from 4D EMR
    Users will not need their Stax password when opening the portal through 4D EMR.
    A password is only needed if logging into the Stax Pay Portal outside of 4D EMR.
