4D PAY by Stax also accepts payments from popular digital wallets such as:
- Apple Pay
- Google Pay
- Samsung Pay
ACH Paymets

Proprietary Systems – Not Accepted
Note: Practices may utilize the financing options listed below (and others) within their practice workflows; however, these options cannot be processed through the 4D PAY by Stax payment processing system.
General Policy
Credit accounts and private‑label credit cards underwritten, issued, or managed by proprietary financial networks—such as those operated by Synchrony, Comenity, or similar financing entities—do not transact over the standard open‑loop payment networks (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, or Discover). These products operate on closed‑loop or non‑network‑affiliated processing systems, making them incompatible with 4D Pay by Stax payment processing platforms. Consequently, they cannot be accepted or processed through 4D Pay by Stax terminals, gateways, or merchant accounts.
CareCredit
- CareCredit is not processed through the standard Visa/Mastercard networks unless the patient holds the CareCredit Mastercard Rewards version.
- Standard CareCredit accounts must be processed exclusively through the CareCredit/Synchrony platform, not through 4D Pay by Stax or any other conventional credit card terminal.
- Providers must enroll directly with CareCredit/Synchrony to accept CareCredit, and reimbursement occurs through CareCredit’s proprietary ecosystem, not through normal card settlement systems.
- CareCredit transactions cannot be run through 4D Pay by Stax terminals unless the patient presents the CareCredit Mastercard product.
PatientFi
- PatientFi is not a credit card issuer.
- It offers installment‑based financing and a reusable digital wallet, not a credit card product.
- PatientFi does not operate on any standard payment card network, and therefore cannot be processed through 4D Pay by Stax or any normal credit card terminal/network.
Cherry
- Cherry is not a credit card issuer.
- It provides installment financing processed exclusively through Cherry’s proprietary digital platform.
- Cherry does not operate on any standard payment card network, and therefore cannot be processed through 4D Pay by Stax or any normal credit card terminal/network.
