4D EMR Platform Security

4D EMR has undergone outside third-party security analysis of our Azure infrastructure and corporate policies to verify we are HIPAA compliant.

We use Microsoft Azure Cloud for all data storage and website hosting.  Microsoft performs weekly security scans of all our databases to make sure the environment safe. Since 4D EMR is "built-from-the-ground-up" as a cloud program we are NOT susceptible to ransomware attacks.

We have deployed Microsoft Defender for Cloud, which "provides continuous observability into resources, reports issues, and recommends fixes. By regularly reviewing and fixing issues, [clients] can improve the security posture, detect threats early, prevent breaches." This sends all information to us through notifications we have set up in Azure. Similarly Azure has built in DDOS attack prevention on all our resources.

4D EMR has isolated all of its resources inside a secure VNet within Azure only allowing for outside web requests through very narrow channels which can be monitored more easily.

Every one of our offices has their own isolated database so data of different offices is not comingling on the server. All of our data is stored in an encrypted format to safeguard from unauthorized access and is automatically incrementally backed up throughout the and fully backed up nightly.

4th Dimension Software attests to the fact that 4D EMR is HIPAA compliant and has undergone third-party testing.
