Release 148 is another huge release full of new features and improvements. Some notable highlights include:
  • Sending patients requests to update Health Information Form
  • Grouping Scheduler resources into Calendar Groups
  • Adding Expiration Dates to inventory and service Packages
  • Adding descriptions to Chart Notes
  • Adding a new Report for Future New Patient appointments

If you have a suggestion of a new feature or improvement you would like to see added to 4D EMR, you can submit it via our Feature UpVote board found at https://4demr-requests.featureupvote.com/. With our Feature UpVote board, you can submit new suggestions, vote on those submitted by other practices, and track the status of existing suggestions. Several new features in this release were based on suggestions made on Feature UpVote.

Release Highlights
Health Form Update Request
The Health Information Form can now be sent to patients on demand by clicking the Health Form Update Request button found on the patient's Summary page.
Calendar Groups

Calendar groups can be used to create saved combinations of scheduler resources. Groups allow you to switch quickly between surgical and spa staff or staff at different locations.

To manage groups, go to Practice > Admin > Scheduling > Calendar Groups. Resources can be added to multiple groups.
 
Expiring Packages
Contact 4D EMR Support for information regarding enabling expiring packages for your practice.
 
Product and service packages can now be set to expire. A default expiration date can be set for each package in Practice > Products > Packages. When selling a package, the expiration date can be added, modified, or removed. 

Expired packages can be reactivated from the Packages tab in Money.
Chart Note Descriptions
A new setting to add descriptions to chart notes has been added to Practice > Settings >  Chart Notes > Chart Note Options. This description will display on the Read All Notes page.

Once enabled, the description field will be visible when writing chart notes. Locked notes cannot be edited to include a description. 
New Report: Future New Patient Appointments
The Future Preops and Future Surgeries reports have been updated to be filter options for the new Future Appointments report. In addition, a New Patient filter has been added.
