139,140,141 - July 2, 2025 Update

Releases 139, 140, and 141 includes several high impact features: 
  • The Appointment Status indicator on appointments has been updated to also reflect Chart Note status
  • A Gift Card History report has been added to Money
  • The Commission an Gratuity report has been updated to automatically deduct the Cost of Goods for products
In addition to these features, this release includes a Beta release of Payment Requests. Payment Requests allow you to text or email patients a request for payment. At this time, this feature is only available in a beta capacity. If you are interested in joining the beta or for more information, please contact 4D EMR support.

Release Highlights
Chart Note Status on Appointments
The appointment status indicator displayed on the left edge of appointments has been updated to reflect the chart note status.  If a chart note needs attention, the appointment will display a striped pattern in the indicator bar.

Appointments will display a white edge with grey striping when the appointment is marked checked out but a chart note has not been signed or is waiting on co-signature. 
When a staff member signs a note that requires a co-signature, the appointment will automatically be changed to Seen and will display striping. This will result in the status indicator changing to green with darker green stripes. 

 
Once the chart note has been signed by the provider, the striped indicator will be removed and the status indicator will display as green if the appointment is marked 'Seen' or white for 'Checked out'.
Gift Card History
The Gift Card History report can be accessed by clicking on the History button on the Gift Card tab of Money. 
The Gift Card History will display the transactional history of a gift card. Receipts for individual purchases can be viewed by clicking on the Receipt icon. 
Deducting Cost of Goods on Commissions
The Commission and Gratuity report has been updated to include a setting to remove Cost of Goods (CoG) for products. When checked, the report will automatically display and subtract the CoG from the commissioned total due each staff member.

The Cost of Goods can be set for a product by going to Practice > Products and editing the product. The previous Wholesale Cost field has been renamed 'Cost of Goods.'  

For products such as Botox or Dysport, the Cost of Goods should be calculated and entered on a per-unit basis. 
The Cost of Goods will be displayed on the report and the commission  after Cost of Goods and Discounts is calculated.
